Hello!

Well, I'm a little behind to say the least. I've been trying to figure out how to piece my book together. At this point I've had to stray away from posting a poem on the blog every day. That's been a huge failure. I've found it hard to get online every day to check my blog and make every post like I should be doing, but I've been working on my book though. I've inserted 35 different poems into the book so far. I also altered my original book design because looking at plain black and white poems isn't that interesting. Instead, I've inserted pictures that I've taken as the background of the poems. As a whole I'm putting the book together on powerpoint. I've found it easier to piece together my thoughts on it rather than on something else. Another problem that I've encountered is there are some poems that I have written that I'm not quite sure I'm ready to share. This is a problem, but I do think I'm going to toughen up and insert them into the book, because I want my audience to have a better understanding of who I am and what kinds of struggles I've been through. The poems that are hard to share may also help someone else who is going through a rough patch. This next week I plan on trying to insert the rest of my pictures as backgrounds and I plan to finish putting poems into the book. Hopefully I can narrow them down to about 50 before I finish it but I may end up having more than that depending on what I deem to be important.
